ROME, GA — A local family business is facing mounting allegations after residents discovered they may no longer need to wander fluorescent grocery store aisles wondering where their meat came from.

According to completely unverified sources we just made up, the company has been accused of selling really good beef, making tallow products with simple ingredients, and — perhaps most concerning — delivering it directly to people’s front doors.
Officials became suspicious after reports surfaced of customers opening packages containing grass-raised, grain-finished Angus beef that actually looked like something you’d want to cook for dinner.
Things escalated quickly.
Investigators then discovered Homegrown & was also making small-batch tallow products without stuffing the ingredient label with seventeen things nobody can pronounce.
At that point, experts reportedly became concerned.
“If people start knowing where their beef comes from and what’s in the products they’re putting on their skin, where does this end?” asked a spokesperson for Big Grocery, a completely fictional organization that definitely does not exist.
The investigation widened after witnesses reported seeing boxes of steaks, ground beef, roasts, ranch goods and tallow products being packed up and shipped directly to customers.
No parking lots.
No shopping carts with one bad wheel.
No walking into the store for two things and somehow spending $187.
Just good products showing up at the house.
Disturbing.
Local families have also reportedly begun using phrases such as:
- “Dang, that’s a good steak.”
- “What is actually in this?”
- “Where did you get this beef?”
- And, most alarmingly: “Just order it from Homegrown &.”
When reached for comment, Homegrown & showed absolutely no remorse.
The company confirmed plans to continue providing quality beef, simple tallow products and ranch-sourced goods from their family to yours.
They also confirmed they intend to keep shipping it directly to customers’ doorsteps.
Authorities have not announced any arrests.
Mostly because there is no crime.
There isn’t even an investigation.
